| When you join a YMCA, you become part of a national movement of 17.9 million members in more than 2,400 local YMCA associations. A YMCA Away Card allows you to visit and access other YMCAs across the country while you're traveling.
Because each YMCA is an autonomous not-for-profit organization, and is not a franchise, local YMCA policies vary on the use of equipment, facilities, services and programs by visiting members from out-of-town or from nearby YMCAs.
While some YMCAs have no restrictions, others may have restrictions, such as:
- visits by members of YMCAs within 50 miles are limited to 3 per month
- visiting members may only use the facility at certain hours
- visiting members will be charged half the guest fee
- visiting members are restricted to a limited number of visits each year
If you plan to visit another YMCA, it's a good idea to call that YMCA and ask about visiting member policies. Visit the National YMCA website for more information.
How do I get an AWAY Card?
1. Please download an Away Card Request form and fill it out:

2. Return the form to us via email, fax, or postal mail:

3. You will receive your AWAY Card via mail within 7 working days of request.
(Member photos must be in the YMCA computer system to print an AWAY card. If you are unsure about your photo, you may call any YMCA branch to verify, or ask the next time you visit.) |
